Christmas- finally

Wow, it’s been awhile since we’ve had a chance to update.  It’s been a crazy couple of months.  Christmas was wonderful.  Though Luke woke up Christmas Eve morning with a fever of 102.  We were the first patients at our local Urgant Care.   We rushed him there worried that if we tried to wait it out that day, we’d end up at Primary Children’s on Christmas morning.  Luckily we went with our gut, Luke had an ear infection.  Then the germs made the rounds.  Elisa woke up sick on Christmas morning.  Though we had a nice day, we were happy to go home and rest.

Dressing up in mom and dad's goods.

Luke loved his microwave and play food from the grandparents

Luke's drum set

Oops. "Santa" was up all night putting together the train.  Though he didn't quite finish the entire train set, he also forgot to finish off the cookies.  Mom and dad forgot to put the cookies away before Luke woke up.  Cookies for breakfast?!

Luke's 2!

Luke likes the real vacuum. So Grandma got him one for his birthday.

Luke's very own laptop!

Oooo... new clothes, Jack taught him how to hold it up.

New Puma's! Thanks Auntie Kat.

Look at all those Wall-E's!

Don't forget the Luke Wall-E

Mmm... Cake.

Blowing out the Candle.

Tookie Sandwich... (Tookie=Luke)

Elisa's masterpiece. (someday I will open my own bakery)

Tasting the frosting before the party.

Luke's present from mom and dad, on his actual birthday.

Its official, Luke’s 2! Yay! We had quite the party tonight. Luke was so excited to have his cousins over. We were afraid that he would be overwhelmed and not want to leave mom and dad, but as soon as Emma and Jack arrived he was ready to play. He loved it when everyone sang to him. Brad forgot to record it so we had to do it again. Luke loved it just as much the second time. Check out the video along with all the pictures. It’s totally worth it. =) Luke is very much into Wall-E right now so his party was a Wall-E theme. I made the Wall-E cake, which took all day. It was worth it. Luke was so happy tonight. We sure do love our Luke, Happy Birthday little man…

Day 8, Final Sea Day

Luke wearing the bear leash at home after the trip. I think we wanted to go explore some more.

Luke petting the towel bunny, I think he missed the dogs.

Sunset from our room.

Shakes at Johnny Rockets, That's why you gain weight on Cruises!

Towel Monkey!

December 5th was a sea day again. It was a bit rainy that day. We tried to spend time at the pool but it ended up being bit chilly. Luke didn’t care. He played in the heated kiddy pool and found a little friend around his age to play with. We spent some time in the casino, had some pina coladas, and got all our packing done to begin the journey home the next day. Here’s the end of our cruise pictures for now. I’m sure we will eventually post our video footage of the trip.

Day 7, Cozumel, Mexico

Ahh.. She was sweet.

That was the coolest thing I did the entire trip!

December 4th we were in Cozumel, Mexico. Luke went with Grandma and Grandpa for the day while the rest of us got to go swimming with dolphins. It was my favorite thing we did on the trip. We don’t have many pictures as we were in the water. Brad got a lot of video and someday we will find time to post it. But for now, enjoy. The pictures show more than I can tell you about the day.

Day 6, Grand Cayman

Luke just curled up by our heads and was asleep, just like that.

All dressed up for dinner

Luke liked the towel mouse

Sleepy baby

Lots of Iguanas

That was cool!

Turtle Farm
Hell

Hell, with a screaming child. Luke wanted to see the pictures, not to be in them.

December 3rd we were in Grand Cayman. The water had been quite rough the previous night and they had considered not letting us get off the ship. Luckily they did! Unfortunately, our excursion to Sting Ray City had to be canceled. Which we were all pretty bummed about. Instead they took us on a bus tour to Hell, literally, and then we got to visit the Turtle farm. Luke crashed, again, in grandpa’s arms while shopping.

Happy Birthday Luke!

I must take a break from the vacation recap. Yesterday was Luke's birthday. He's 2 and very excited about being 2. We are celebrating his birthday on Saturday so more pictures to come. But I can't believe how big he is. Two years have gone by fast. Here are a few pictures to remember...

Day 5, Montego Bay, Jamaica

Rose Hall Mansion

December 2nd we were in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The water was very calm the morning we arrived in Jamaica. It was the calm before the storm. We visited the Rose Hall Mansion which is said to be haunted. It was beautiful in Jamaica. Though I must say, driving in Jamaica terrified me! We did a bit of shopping for some rum and coffee. Luke got bored of the shopping and decided to entertain us with his binks. He made out with a squealing monkey and some maracas and fell asleep at dinner that night!
