December 1st we spent the day in Labadee, Haiti. We went on a short walking tour, spent time at the flea market where I got taken for all I was worth, and then spent the afternoon on a private beach. Brad and I got to see Luke experience sand for the first time and he sure did love the beach. Luke was a little water baby and crashed on the way back to the ship.

Elisa, Luke and Brad. Luke didn't want to smile. He wanted to see the picture behind the camera.November 30th was our sea day. We spent most of the day exploring the ship and laying out at the front of the ship. That night dinner was formal. Luke put on a tie for the first time and loved it. He also discovered how much fun elevators can be. We also got our first towel animal, a swan with sunglasses.
Day 2, Miami

We had a day to explore Miami before we got on the ship. We walked down to the beach to see our ship. It was huge! Luke loved the wa-wa (water), and discovered how much fun it was to chase the birds. We got on the ship around 4 PM on November 29th. Brad got us a Junior Suite with a balcony at the back of the ship. It was beautiful…

Day 1, Travel Day
November 28th was our travel day. Salt Lake – Dallas – Miami. The trip started at 9 AM and ended at 10 PM. Wow, what a day. Luke was great. He slept on the first flight and just played with the grandparents on the second. He was so pooped from traveling, all we had to do was put him on the bed with his binks. Next thing we knew, he crashed. Here’s the first picture from our 10 day trip!
Thanksgiving
Okay, I know… how lame it is that it's so close to Christmas and I'm just barely getting out the pictures from Thanksgiving? We've been busy...
Thanksgiving was great. We were at the Kaczka's this year with Nana, Papa Ed, Auntie Kat, and Great Grandma Lydia. It was quite but very nice. I made the stuffing, pies and rolls. Luke loved every bit of Thanksgiving!
The day after Thanksgiving we left for our 7 day cruise through the Caribbean. More posts to follow...

Happy Halloween!
Despite having a touch of the flu bug and a slight fever, Luke enjoyed every minute of Halloween this year. The festivities began with a trip to Daddy’s work where he brought nothing but smiles to the office, then off to Grandma and Grandpa Pierce’s where he did a bit of trick-or-treating, and finally we took him up to visit Nana, Papa Ed, & Auntie Kat for a bit more trick-or-treating. Here are a few pictures of Luke to enjoy! Happy Halloween!

Winter?
We had our first snow last weekend. Crazy! But now it's back to 72 and sunny. =) Luke is still growing fast. We've noticed that he grows about an inch every two months. Yesterday I noticed that his 12-18 month sized pants were WAY too short. So, off to the mall we went today to get some new pants for the little fellow. As we were shopping, we came home with a lot more than pants. Check out Luke in all his new sports gear.

22 Months And Counting...
As we head into Fall, Luke seems to keep getting more adorable. He is starting to speak more than ever, picking up recent favorites like "Uh oh", "water", and "all done". And while he definitely shows signs of the terrible twos, he is also so sweet and so loving.
When he hasn't seen mom for a little while, he goes around the house calling for "momma" and definitely called Grandma Pierce "ga ga" and Grandma Kaczka "nana".
We are getting ready for Halloween, and Lukas is going to be Mickey Mouse this year. We are also getting excited for our family vacation at the end of November. But there are a few things that we have been battling with before we can have that fun. Elisa had her wisdom teeth out a week ago, and has been quite the trooper getting healthy again. We have all been battling colds as well...nothing like starting the "sick" season early.
